Terms of Service

1. Service Description

ScanVibe is a web security scanner designed for applications built with AI tools (Lovable, Bolt, Cursor, Replit, v0, and others). Our service analyzes publicly accessible URLs for common security vulnerabilities and provides actionable reports with fix instructions.

2. Nature of the Scan

ScanVibe performs exclusively passive, non-intrusive security analysis. Our scanner:

• Only accesses publicly available information (HTTP responses, HTML source, JavaScript files, HTTP headers) — exactly what any web browser does when visiting a page
• Never attempts to exploit, penetrate, or modify the target website in any way
• Does not attempt brute-force attacks, SQL injection, or any form of active intrusion
• Does not send malicious payloads, overload servers, or perform denial-of-service actions

A ScanVibe scan is technically equivalent to a regular browser visit. No data on the target site is created, modified, or deleted.

3. User Accounts

When you create a ScanVibe account, you agree to:

• Keep your password secure and confidential — you are responsible for all activity on your account
• Maintain only one account per person
• Provide accurate and up-to-date information

4. Acceptable Use & Responsibility

ScanVibe is designed to help developers improve the security of their web applications. By using the service, you agree to the following:

• You are encouraged to scan your own websites and applications to identify and fix security issues
• You may scan publicly accessible third-party websites for informational purposes (competitive analysis, research, educational use). Since our scans are passive and equivalent to a browser visit, this does not constitute unauthorized access
• You must not use scan results for malicious purposes, including but not limited to: exploiting discovered vulnerabilities, launching attacks, unauthorized data access, or harassing website owners
• You must not attempt to overload our service with excessive or automated scan requests
• You are solely responsible for how you use the information provided by ScanVibe. We provide security findings for educational and defensive purposes only
• If you discover a vulnerability on a website you do not own, we encourage responsible disclosure to the website owner rather than exploitation

5. Pricing & Billing

ScanVibe offers the following plans:

• Free plan: full access to scans, checks, fixes, and AI prompts
• Pro plan: $9/month — automatic monitoring, email alerts, PDF reports, security badge, and full history
• You can cancel your Pro subscription at any time through the Stripe customer portal — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• No refunds are provided for partial billing periods

6. Limitation of Liability & Disclaimer

Please understand the following limitations:

• Scan results are provided for informational and educational purposes only — they are not a substitute for professional security audits or penetration testing
• We do not guarantee that our scans will detect every vulnerability or that your application is secure after fixing reported issues. Security is an ongoing process
• You use ScanVibe at your own risk — we are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use of our service or reliance on scan results
• ScanVibe is not responsible for any actions taken by users based on scan results. If you use scan results to assess a third-party website, any actions you take regarding that website are entirely your own responsibility
• ScanVibe does not provide legal advice. If you have concerns about the legality of scanning a specific website, consult a qualified legal professional
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted service availability. Our CVE databases and detection rules are updated regularly but may not cover the very latest disclosures

7. Intellectual Property

Regarding ownership:

• The ScanVibe name, logo, and service are our intellectual property
• Your scan results and data belong to you — we do not claim ownership of your content

8. Account Termination

Regarding account termination:

• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in abusive behavior, or use the service for clearly malicious purposes
• You can delete your account at any time by contacting us — all your data will be permanently removed

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ScanVibe, its operators, and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service, your violation of these terms, or any actions you take based on scan results.

10. Modifications

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we make changes, we will notify you by email. Continued use of ScanVibe after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France. Any disputes arising from these terms or the use of ScanVibe shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of France.
